For the commemoration of the centenary of the Valencian Regional Exhibition and of the Regional Anthem, the city of Valencia has organized an ample program of cultural activities that carry on until October of this year.
To complete the celebrations a series of acts and days have been initiated that on the one hand offer the spectator the roots of valencian culture and, on the other, a journey through the different historical areas that the city enjoys.
It is already possible to visit the exhibition "How we have changed. 1909-2009. The objects of our life" that is located in El Corte Inglés on the Avenida de Francia and which will remain until the 13
th of June, or the "Commemorative Exhibition of the Mercantile Athenian" that is viewable in the Salón Noble of the
Ateneo until the 31
st of July. It is also possible to visit the exhibition of sculpture of IVAM "Urban Connections" situated in the Gran vía Marqués del Túria and "One Hundred Years of Dialogue of Painting and Sculpture" in the Museum of the City.
To the already opened exhibitions the "Exhibition 1909" in the Exhibition Palace, "21st Century Valencia" and "Valencian Innovation in the 21st Century" in Tabacalera, and "Trenor. The Exhibition of a Bourgeois Family" in the University of Valencia shall all be added.
May's programme will be boosted in the
Ateneo Mercantil for the days 23rd and 30th with concerts, and the 28th with a conference.
A wide variety of workshops, conferences, official commemorative acts, concerts and band competitions or conferences are some of the activities planned for this celebration, and that count on the participation of the different entities that have wanted to join in the celebration.
